I just started using tea tree oil from body shop! I mix it with my cleanser, then I rub it on my face, let it set 10 secs and I rinse...then I get a q-tip and put it on my spots...it cleared me up pretty well and FAST..2days! I'm so happy. As a moisturizer I use aloe Vera gel...You also have to drink LOTS of water, and eating healthy is vital. Did you go to a derm yet?? I don't really like them, but they can put you on a antibiotic which may help you alot...I don't trust their harsh topical prescriptions though, I wasted 60 bucks....
Tea tree oil, natural products, lots of water...that's the way to go.How can i get rid of blackheads arounf my nose and chin and aroug my mouth? also pimples?
For the blackheads, I suggest you use Biore Face/Nose strips.
For the pimples, use Clearasil face wash that contains 1% salicylic acid once a day (before you go to sleep). Follow it up with a 10% benzoyl peroxide acne treatment cream (from CVS).
Exfoliate! I recommend St. Ives medicated apricot scrub. It removes dead skin cells/flakes and leaves your skin feeling smooth. Use tea tree oil products if you can as well,(body shop carries alot of thier products) they are miraculous!
Actually you don't want to use any oily products with a bad case of blackheads because blackheads are produced by enlarged pores, oily and dirty skin. Making you pores smaller is immpossible so you just have to keep you skin cleaned twice a day with a good facial scrub but avoid oil based ones this will increase the oil onyou face making them clogged faster. What you could do about 3 times a week it steam you face for 10-15 minutes to open your pores then start squeezing but don't force it to hard or it will cause bruising and discoloration on your skin then emerge your face in ice water right away for a couple minutes, after you wash your face after squeezing out black heads, this will shrink pores right away while they are at their cleanest and don't rub your face with towel to dry off. dab your face to dry of, rubbing will rub oils and dirt for other areas of the face back onto the problem spots.
MaryKay acne cream helps wonderfully.
Also if you dip a q-tip in listerine mouth wash and dab it on your face, it really helps to. I know it sounds stupid, but it actually works.
hey!
i have the same problems as you (blackheads %26amp; acne) and i'm also light-skinned. proactice didn't work for me and i was so dissapointed because i really thought it would solve my acne problems. but
when i went to my dermatologist ~ 6 months ago he gave me this new product called Ziana. Ziana GEL is a new acne product basically made for people with sensitive skin! i use that with a LIGHT exfoliator (nothing with sand because that makes it worse, usually those weirdo plasticy blue ball things in it work well) and Aveeno oil-free moisturizer twice a day and my skin has never looked better.
talk to your dermatologist and ask him to perscribe you ziana. also, most dermatologists can force out your blackheads and while they do become pimples most of the time and look horrible for a week or so, afterwards it's so worth it.
good luck!!
